That moment when you accidentally hit “delete column” instead of “row” and wipe out your entire 8 page road trip document. The one you’ve been working on for at least six months, adding and tweaking, it holds every piece of info from campsites, boondocking & rentals to mileage and hours and stops and random sights.
Ever so grateful for that “UNDO” button.
Yes, I occasionally print and save different versions but it’s been a minute since I’ve printed it. Which is what I just did.
I’m also not close to being done with all the details, so this isn’t the final version. But I THINK I’ve got the general route and most of the lodging figured out. Adding more time does not mean easier planning. It just means having to choose even more things to leave out and save for a future trip.
Also, I’ve been cross-referencing the document I have from my grandparents three week trip in 1986 (the one that inspired this one!) and some of the little motels and cabins they stayed in are no longer in existence, but some of them still are and I fully intend to do then and now comparisons.
Photo from last camping trip in WV, hike at Seneca Rocks 💕 An entire month ago already.
When they tell you not to blink, they aren’t joking.
