Almost every Mexican little girl dreams of her quinceañera, the day she “officially” becomes a woman.
But honestly, when I was younger, it wasn’t really about that for me. I was excited about having a day being all about me. The big dress, the ceremony, the reception, the gifts from los Padrinos y Madrinas.
Being a wedding photographer really made me realize how similar Quinceañeras and weddings are. It’s a full long day that’s just as emotional, just as detailed, and just as meaningful.
Valedia’s quince was absolutely stunning. She looked like Cinderella in her blue dress, and the whole day radiated magic.
I feel so honored that I still get to be part of this, my culture, through my work. Even as an adult, being invited to capture these traditions keeps me connected to my roots. I love it. 🥰 💙✨
