How beautiful.
What your hair looked like.
The expression you made when you laughed.
The body that carried you through this chapter.

And there's a decent chance she'll wonder why you were so hard on her. 😘

Our client chose this gorgeous bronze glitter for her album, and it completely changes depending on the light - sometimes bronze, sometimes champagne, sometimes almost silver!

And this is exactly why I love creating physical artwork for our clients.

We take more photos than ever, yet so many of them end up buried somewhere in a camera roll or cloud storage.

Your favorite photographs deserve more than that.

They deserve to be held, flipped through, displayed, and actually enjoyed now and 20 years from now.

And if we're going to cherish them.. they might as well live inside a ridiculously gorgeous sparkly album. 😉✨

This beauty came to us ready to celebrate a meaningful milestone in her healing journey - one centered around reclaiming her confidence, embracing her femininity, and recognizing her own worth.

She wanted the chance to see herself differently. Not through the critical voice that can be so easy to listen to, but through a lens of confidence, beauty, strength, and everything she’s become along the way.

This session was her reminder that she deserves to take up space, feel beautiful, and celebrate the woman she is today. 🩷

Sorry for the long post, but we could use a little help. ❤️ We will be open!
Unfortunately, someone broke into the store last night by smashing a window and climbing inside. They took the bank bag and the cash from the register, and left quite a mess behind. A huge thank you to the Cape Girardeau Police Department for securing the situation and investigating.

A huge thank you to Lindy at SalonCentric & State Beauty Supply of the Heartland for being awake, and helping us get in touch with our neighbor Kanaan from the room. Hair Design Studio, who came to help with the cleanup. We are so grateful for our amazing neighbors and community. ❤️Mikayla doesn’t know this yet.

We still have more cleaning to do and a window to board up. Sherry and I are leaving at 5:30 AM for a vendor show—we couldn’t cancel without losing even more money.

If anyone has some time to help with cleanup or knows someone who can help us board up the window (we’d prefer plywood rather than glass), please text me, Barb. 573-587-5172. Between 5:30am -9am we won’t be available but will see a text come through when we land.

One of my favorite parts of what I do isn't just taking the photographs... it's helping preserve them. 🤍

In a world where thousands of photos live on our phones, computers, and in the cloud, it's easy to forget that technology changes. Hard drives fail. Phones get replaced. Accounts get deleted. Passwords get forgotten.

But an album sitting on your coffee table...

A portrait hanging on your wall...

A handcrafted keepsake box you can open years from now...

Those don't require a password.

They simply become part of your story.

I love knowing that decades from now, you'll be able to flip through your album or walk past your artwork and remember exactly how you felt in that moment. You'll see the woman who chose herself. The woman who was strong, capable, beautiful, and worthy of being remembered.

That's why I'll always believe your photographs deserve more than a folder on a computer.

A little reminder that I think deserves its own post... 🤍
One of the questions I hear most often is:
"Do I have to let you share my photos?"

The answer is absolutely not.
Your session is 100% your experience, and your privacy is incredibly important to us. We will never share your images without your written permission.

Whether you choose to share every photo, a few favorites, anonymous images, or nothing at all is completely up to you.
Many of our clients keep their entire session private, while others love sharing their experience to encourage other women. Both choices are equally respected.

The only exception is if you've specifically signed up for one of our Content Days or a Boudie Call, where sharing images is a requirement. Those opportunities are always clearly explained before you book, so you'll know exactly what you're agreeing to.

At the end of the day, this experience is about you -your confidence, your story, and your memories. Whether those memories stay just for you or are shared with others is always your decision. 🤍
