Brit Nicole Photography -TM Freaking amazing photography experience for those searching for adventure elopements, bo***ir, family What's up, y'all! i'm brittney. we probably won't get along.

i’m based in amarillo, texas and live with my hubby and two little ones. palo duro canyon sits right in my backyard. i’m a sarcasm connoisseur, and if you can't laugh at the dumbest things (like pretending a tv crew is following us around as i look awkwardly at an invisible camera during inappropriate moments...) be prepared for my dominating height (i am a staggering 5-foot-nothing, and yes, the

weather is just fine down here)

Likes- tacos with mango jalapeno margaritas, “that’s what she said” jokes, people who don’t beat around the bush

Dislikes- bears (especially grizzlies!), people calling me "hey, photographer" instead of by my name, the fact that my body hates gluten and will try to kill itself if i digest it

The North Cascades do not care about your seating chart, and honestly, neither should you. 🏔️

Justine + Sam traded the big production for a day deep in the Washington mountains, just the two of them and a view that makes everyone go quiet. The whole thing was built around who they are as a couple, their pace, their humor, their love of being outside, instead of a checklist of traditions.

That is the experience: you actually get to enjoy your own wedding day. I take care of the planning, the permits, and the timing so all you feel is the awe and the joy (and maybe a little altitude).

"By the time I was 11, I already knew what it was like to go without food, without clothes — and to be afraid in my own home. My parents were still together, right up until I turned 11.
My dad was in the military, Air Force. And he used to beat my mom and us kids. It was a sad way to grow up. A lot of times we went without food, without clothing. We didn't have very much." - Scheryl

That's probably my habit now. I like clothes, I love to eat.
When I was 11, that's when they got divorced. And we went to live with my mom."

Reasons Big Bend National Park beats a ballroom: the stars, the silence, the mountains, and the total absence of a DJ asking everyone to make some noise. ✨

Stephanie + Pedro got married here and built the whole day around their personalities instead of a rulebook. That is the beauty of a Big Bend elopement. Remote, epic, and entirely yours.

The experience I create is part adventure, part deep calm. I handle the West Texas logistics (it is a real trek out here, that is my job). You handle marrying your favorite person.

Confession: in a few weeks I am climbing into a tiny bush plane and flying into the Alaskan backcountry to photograph an elopement, and I have told approximately everyone I know. ✈️🏔️

This is the experience I live for. Alaska elopements where the venue is a glacier you can only reach by air, and the entire day is built around a couple's sense of adventure instead of tradition.

If your dream wedding has zero ballrooms and a whole lot of wilderness, here is how it works: you bring the courage, I handle the very real logistics, and together we make something you will talk about forever.

Senior photos used to mean a stiff pose, a frozen smile, and a laser beam background. We do not do that here. 🎓

Chris's session was all about who he actually is, his energy, his humor, zero cheesy props (unless he wanted them). A senior portrait should look like YOU at 18, not like a mall catalog from 1997.

The experience is simple. We have fun, we chase good light, and you walk away with photos your mom frames AND you actually like.

Here is what a Mount Rainier elopement actually feels like: quiet, the good kind. No 200 guests, no receiving line, no schedule someone else built for you. Just the two of you, a mountain in Washington, and enough room to actually feel the whole thing happen. 🏔️

They wanted a day that sounded like THEM, so that is what we made. I handled the permits, the timing, and the logistics nobody warns you about, and they got to be fully present for every second of it.

That is the experience I am obsessed with giving people: all of the meaning, none of the stress. You show up as yourselves and let it be the best day of your life.

Woohoooo! Way to go!

Woohoooo! Way to go!

Barrett Stroud will soon leave Amarillo for the dramatic, hilly, rocky topography surrounding the Hudson River in West Point, New York. It’s a steep 1,700 miles away and a stark contrast from the only place he’s ever lived.

“I love Amarillo. A lot of people hate how flat it is. I love being able to see a long way,” says Barrett.

Almost nobody would miss the wind. But don’t count Barrett among them.

“As silly as it is, I’ll miss the wind,” he says.

And yes, Barrett knows it will be cold.

“It will be cold, but I guess the answer is warm clothes,” he laughs.

In February, on a family road trip to Colorado, Barrett received his official appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point. The process is long and requires top-tier grades, excellent physical fitness, high ACT/SAT scores, and, most notably, a congressional nomination.

“It was a relief, definitely a moment of pride for myself,” he says.

“I wanted to push myself to go somewhere I felt I could learn to be exceptional,” explains Barrett. “I found the kind of education I wanted, great camaraderie, and somewhere I could push myself in every aspect at West Point.”

Barrett, who grew up outdoors hunting and fishing, wants to study environmental engineering.

“I really enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in places that are wild and untouched. My love for fishing led me to the idea of conserving natural environments as they are and protecting them, while also integrating them with modern society. I understand that we need wild places, but we also need to develop and move forward, so I think finding that happy medium is what draws me in.”

Barrett’s graduation from Amarillo High is just a few weeks away, and he's due at West Point at the end of June. He turns pensive, thinking about the changes ahead.

“Amarillo made me who I am. The people and the culture are an integral part of me, but I’m ok with experiencing something else,” says Barrett. “I think West Point prepares you to not only serve your country, but to lead others in the service of your country. That to me feels like a conviction that is very hard for me to put words to.”
