I was honored to take Sami’s senior photos. When she asked if I remembered her as my 6th grade student, I replied with a resounding “Of course I do!” A kid like Sami is always memorable: a kind, smart, thoughtful leader. I’m so excited to see what this awesome senior will accomplish next.

A huge perk to a session in your own backyard is including your pets! Elliott’s cat and two dogs were all part of the fun. Seeing this sweet girl grow-up through my lens has been the best. She and Mia went to elementary school together, and now she’s my neighbor! Congratulations to Elliott and The Class of 2027!

We stressed about the rain forecast and decided to go for it. We got to AA and discovered that it was move-in day for students with no parking for miles. But, somehow we pulled-off this shoot. Just as we took the very last shot, the sky opened up and poured. My vote is always to move forward with the plan even if there’s a scary forecast. After all, a 45% chance of rain means there an even bigger chance that there won’t be 😉 Congratulations to Jack and The Class of 2027!

Sadie and I have been talking about her senior pictures for the longest time, and today was the big day. I’m obsessed!

A wise friend recently told me that one of the hardest parts of your child graduating is losing contact with all of their friends: the girls who were always over for sleepovers and pool parties, the ones we took under our wings as part of our family, they will be missed too. Kathryn is this friend to my senior, Mia. Years ago I photographed Kathryn’s family and mentioned that my daughter was her age. Coincidentally, they met shortly after and have been inseparable ever since. This explains my tears as she put on that cap and gown. Our girls are entering a new stage. They’re ready, but I may not be. Congratulations to Kathryn and The Class of 2027!

I’ve watched Addison grow-up on the softball field with my Mia, cheering with her momma from the stands. Today I cheered her on from behind the camera with lots of “Yes, girl!” and “You are stunning!” This incredibly kind soul is destined for greatness. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.
