Some images are posed -- and some images feel like a story unfolding right in front of you.

I love the traditional wedding portraits, but there’s something about moments like this that stop me behind the lens. The open field, the wildflowers, the way she’s looking back at him like she already knows this adventure is going to be beautiful. These type of images feel alive -- love unfolding in front of me.

And honestly? These are the moments I’ll always chase with my camera. The in-between. The movement. The feeling. The little pieces of magic you can’t stage.

This one feels like the beginning of forever.

Some weddings are filled with elegance . . . and some are filled with elegance AND a whole lot of personality. Gabby & Cam gave us both yesterday.

Sure, I could post all the perfectly posed, traditional portraits from their wedding day -- and trust me, there are plenty of those -- but these? These are the moments I love just as much. The swing under the trees, the laughter between shots, the movement, the quiet moments, the playful ones, the “this is SO them” kind of images.

From running through the field beneath that giant tree to dancing like nobody else existed in the room, these two made every moment fun to photograph. Weddings like this remind me why I still love doing what I do after all these years behind the lens.

Gabby & Cam, thank you for letting me capture not just how your day looked, but how it felt. Yesterday was an absolute blast.

A little more than 24 hours from now, this couple's future turns into forever. Tomorrow these two say "I do." Today, they soak in the last moments before becoming husband and wife. I'm off to shoot candids at the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner!

There is something incredibly special about watching the little ones you photograph grow up right in front of your lens.

I first photographed Robby when he was just 6 months old, and now here he is -- exploring dirt roads with a stick in one hand and Hulk in the other, completely wrapped up in the wonder of childhood.

These are the moments I love most -- the quiet curiosity, the serious little expressions, the imagination that turns an ordinary afternoon into an adventure.

After 18 years behind the camera as a professional, I still never take for granted the honor of being invited back year after year to capture these milestones for families. Watching children grow through my photographs will always be one of the greatest parts of what I do.

And honestly, I think little boy portraits may forever have my heart.
