Need cap and gown images but don't wanna wait until cap and gown are passed out? We have quite a few cap and gown colors in our style closet that you can use during senior sessions anytime during the year! All you have to do is order your tassel with the graduating year to bring to your session, which can be found on Amazon.

We also do cap and gown sessions during the month of April and May for all current clients free of charge! If you did senior pictures with us in the summer or fall we will do your cap and gown in late spring, no session fee. Just buy what you need and check out our end of year specials!

Spring senior pictures in Indianapolis at Holcomb Gardens with this gorgeous senior, Laurel. We found this perfect little willow tree by the river and tow path. A perfect setting for this gorgeous dress she brought with her.

Between the soft pink dress, the blooming wildflowers, and the dreamy light near the tow path, this session felt straight out of a storybook. Laurel brought such a natural, effortless beauty to every single image, and this spring setting could not have been more perfect for her senior pictures.

Let’s talk editing.

What does editing actually mean to us? Honestly, not much.

A photographer who truly understands lighting and camera settings should not need to heavily edit an image to make it beautiful. Most of the magic should already be happening in camera.

About 90% of the time, we use off camera flash, which helps create bright eyes, beautiful skin tones, and clean, vibrant images straight from the start. Our goal is always a natural, polished look without overly filtered skin or heavy retouching.

We may remove a stray hair, a temporary blemish, or soften under eye shadows a bit, but we are not here to erase what makes you YOU. Freckles stay. Personality stays. Natural skin texture stays.

And those blue skies and sunsets you see in our images? They are real. That is what good lighting, camera knowledge, and experience can do. Knowing how to properly expose both the subject and the sky is a huge part of photography, and honestly, that comes from years of experience behind the camera.

A lot of people look at a really strong image and assume it was heavily edited, but what you are usually seeing is beautiful light, strong camera skills, and over 26 years of knowing how to photograph people in the most flattering way possible.

No over editing. No making you look like someone else. Just the best version of you.

With these images of Kiera, we lightly softened the shadows under her eyes, balanced the exposure and tones, and converted the images to black and white. That is it. No heavy skin retouching. No fake eye brightening. Just beautiful light and a beautiful senior.

Lets talk about a little origin story of Indianapolis Best Senior Photographers, and our dedication to serving the senior industry and being true to our standards and values, and true to you, our loyal customer.

Creative senior photography is one of our specialties. We aren't just the photographers YOU love, we are also the photographers that other aspiring photographers have looked to for years for inspiration, guidance and a quality level to achieve for themselves.

We spent years teaching in the senior photography community across the country, and mentored tons of other aspiring photographers throughout the years and though we've ducked out of teaching, we still uphold the same level of quality, creativity and innovation as always for each and every senior client.

Back in the beginning of our business. Marci was definitely someone that led the way in senior photography. To this day, she is still rumored to have birthed the concept of the ' senior model team'. Its hard to imagine this industry without the model teams! Ask any of the older photographers.... Marci is an OG influencer! And taught Christy everything she knows when she joined the business 10 year later.

If you truly want the best, choose the trail blazers. The masters of the field. We might make it look easy, but we didn't get here overnight. 26 years experience, hard work and mastery going strong and we are SO not done!
