The New 510 Bridge near Marquette overlooks the Old truss 510 bridge, but the colors from the Old 510 were just spectactular. Enjoy and have a great week folks!

Quartzite Falls near L'Anse on the Keweenaw Bay, is a favorite place for visitors to explore the area, and its a very easy area to hike. Enjoy and have a great day folks!

The Portage Canal Lift Bridge is another cherished landmark here on the Keweenaw Peninsula. It is one of the few lift bridges still in operation here in the United States, and it is one of the many places that bring our communities together. Enjoy and have a great weekend folks!

From the Quincy Mine in Hancock, this area of the mine ruins was ablaze with color. This is a very cherished site, a remnant of the old copper mining days of the era, abandoned in place as mining was no longer a viable industry here on the Keweenaw Peninsula. Enjoy and have a great day folks!

I began my fall adventures in the most unlikely of spots. By chance I happened to be at the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse on a calm and beautiful Friday morning. This view simply took my breath away. For a few moments the sky lit with color but slowly faded as the sun arose in the eastern skies of Lake Superior. Enjoy and have a supremely spectacular day!

Taken from the archives this is Pidgeon Falls on the North Shore of Lake Superior near Grand Portage. There are several large beautiful falls such as this along its shore in Minnesota and we hope to explore them soon. Enjoy and have a great week folks!

Waves of Lake Superior will be growing in the coming weeks as we progress into the later months of this year. Even at her roughest, Lake Superior can show us a beauty that cannot be found anywhere else! Enjoy and have a great weekend folks!

Taken June of 2025 from our archives. The sunsets on Lake Superior are magnificent and I highly recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately the tree that appears in this photo to the left is no longer there, but the memory of the great sunsets witnessed from this spot remain. Enjoy and have a great day folks!
