I see life a bit differently than most people, and that’s how I take pictures. I try to capture the pureness of everything I am photographing. To me, photography is about expressing yourself and figuring out what you love most about a specific place, person or thing, then capturing that moment in time. I grew up taking pictures on my mom’s old 35 mm camera. I never read a manual on how to use it.
I just went out into the world (my back yard) and took pictures. I was having fun, and that was all that mattered to me. I didn’t need to take great photos; I just wanted to capture what I saw. To this day, some of my favorite pictures were taken on that 35 mm camera. I am very fortunate to be able to travel all over the world, and the United States to take photos of my adventures. I have always taken photos for fun; it was not until the last few years that I started to photograph for families and events. Last winter, I won 1st place in the National Geographic Full Story Photo Contest and had the opportunity to photograph local musicians at some of the historical places in the Keweenaw. I am currently taking pictures of my travels, animals and other fun things. I have also been asked to take pictures of kids, families and other events. So if you would like me to take pictures for you, just ask. I would love to. Hope you enjoy my pictures. Please feel free to suggest this page and the website to others:)
