No matter what happened eariler in the day, if I can sit down at my computer and play around with my images, I remember that everything is okay. And when I've had a bad morning, thinking I don't feel like shooting today, but when I get to it, I forget EVERYTHING that I was upset about and live in the moment. If that's not living your dream, I don't know what is! :)

Maggie and Brendan were SO excited to finally be husband and wife, and that happiness carried through every part of their wedding day! 🤍

Their day was full of happy tears, heartfelt tributes to some very special people, lots of laughter, and even a quick spin on the pontoon before the reception. Because why not?! 😂

The weather wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for, but the love, happiness, and fun were absolutely perfect. I’m SO glad I got to be part of this one!

There are so many more moving parts to a wedding day than a lot of couples realize. Having a little bit of guidance on how long some of the important parts should take might just save you some trouble!

Here are my personal suggestions about how long you should spend on photos to maximize your timeline. I’ve even included a sample timeline below, including more than just the photos!

Bride/bridesmaids arrive at venue of hair and makeup @ 9:30am

Groom/groomsmen arrive to get ready @ 12:30pm

Photography start time / getting ready @ 1:00pm

First look (and preliminary couple photos) @ 2:00pm

Bridal party photos @ 2:30/2:45pm

Bride freshens up @3:00/3:15pm

Line up for ceremony @ 3:45pm

Ceremony @ 4:00pm

Cocktail hour begins @ 4:30pm

Family formal photos @ 4:45pm

Wedding Party and couple photos @ 5:15pm

Line up for reception announcement @ 6:20pm

Reception announcement @ 6:30pm
Speeches @ 6:45pm
Dinner @ 7:00pm
Cake cutting @ 7:45pm
First dance/parent dances @ 8:00pm
