No matter what happened eariler in the day, if I can sit down at my computer and play around with my images, I remember that everything is okay. And when I've had a bad morning, thinking I don't feel like shooting today, but when I get to it, I forget EVERYTHING that I was upset about and live in the moment. The kind of connection that makes everything else fade into the background. Modern weddings are not as much about overproduction as they were in the past. They are about finding your own personal vibe and sticking to it.

West Michigan has SO many amazing wedding venues, and after years of photographing weddings, I’ve definitely found some favorites.

A little sneak peek from Raul and Tania’s beautiful wedding day 🤍

The weather was spicy, the food was spicy, the music was spicy… and the whole day was absolutely perfect. With family traveling all the way from Mexico to join with them, it was a day full of love, laughter, and celebration.

Tania looked stunning, Raul looked amazing in his suit, and these two were completely wrapped up in each other all day long ✨

Wedding weekend incoming!

First up, on Saturday we have this gorgeous couple, making it official this weekend at The Barn at Monterey Valley! We can't wait to celebrate with Raul & Tania!!!

But don’t worry! I’ve dealt with ALL of these before!

1. No one knows how to pin a boutonniere - this happens for almost EVERY wedding. Boutonniere pinning is not common knowledge and no matter the type of pins your florist provides, we always manage to figure it out — without stabbing you!

2. Rain on your wedding day - Alanis’s ironic concern notwithstanding, no matter the weather, we will be sure to get some gorgeous photos of the two of you. Plus I always bring extra umbrellas!

3. Intoxicated groomsmen during bridal party photos - thankfully, most of the time, the guys know how to take it easy, at least until the reception, but somehow we always manage to convince them that smiling for the camera now will get them to the bar faster!

4. Mom’s got a million family combo photo requests - though not the most fun of photos at a wedding, family portraits are kind of a must, and since everyone’s all dressed up, mothers often what lots of groups. I’ve practically got group photos down to a science, so don’t worry! Our timeline will go on uninterrupted!

5. Wedding guests don’t know how to do the Wobble - Line dances...? Check! Just follow along ;)
