Fall 2026 is officially FULLY BOOKED! 🤎

This season is going to be BUSY, and I’m so excited! I’m feeling incredibly thankful for every family, couple, and sweet season of life I get to photograph this fall.

And somehow… I’m already booking into 2027, which is CRAZY to me! 🥹

Fall family photos are one of my favorite things to photograph 🤎🍂

And if you’re planning your outfits, choosing colors is always one of the first places I’d start! I love warm, earthy tones and soft neutrals that let your family be the focus while still bringing that beautiful fall feeling into your photos.

Hi, friends! 🤎

I’m Kristen, the photographer behind Heritage Rooted Photography, serving families here in the Burnet and Hill Country area.

I’m a mama myself, and I think one of the sweetest parts of this job is getting to freeze all those little seasons of life that somehow pass way too quickly.

The chubby baby stage.
The growing belly.
The little ones who never stop moving.
The family that doesn’t look quite the same as it did last year.
The two of you who want to remember this season before it changes again.

And with fall finally here, I’m opening up my October and November calendar for a few more sessions around Burnet and the Hill Country.

If you’ve been thinking about getting some updated family pictures, pictures for your Christmas cards, maternity photos, baby pictures, or even just some sweet pictures of the two of you — I’d love to have you in front of my camera.

I keep my sessions relaxed and easygoing. I don’t expect your little ones to sit perfectly still or your family to know exactly what to do. That’s my job. I just want you to be able to enjoy your people and leave with pictures that feel like you.

I’ll be wrapping up my fall sessions around the beginning of December, so October and November are really the sweet spot for getting those Christmas-card pictures or updated family photos done before the year gets away from us.

Fall is such a sweet time for photos, and I have a few dates open around the Hill Country over the next couple of months.

I just love getting to photograph couples in this season of life — the excitement, the plans, the dreaming about what’s ahead, and all the little in-between moments that make this time so special.

Fall is such a beautiful time for engagement photos, and if you’re newly engaged, I’d love to have you in front of my camera. These are the photos you’ll look back on one day and remember exactly what it felt like to be young, in love, and just getting started.

A little reminder that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth photographing. 🤎

The little smiles, the big laughs, the way your kids are right now, and all the everyday moments that make your family your family.

That’s what I love about family sessions. We can keep it simple, have a little fun, let the kids be themselves, and I’ll take care of the rest.

And with fall right around the corner, it’s a pretty good excuse to get everyone together, put on some cute clothes, and make some memories you’ll be glad you have.

I don’t think we ever realize how much we’ll treasure these pictures until we have them. 🤎

As a mom, I already find myself looking back at photos and wishing I could freeze certain little moments in time. The tiny details, the little smiles, the way they fit in your arms… those are the things you’ll want to remember.
