One whole year of Tiny Glow Photography. 🥹

WHAT A YEAR!

A year ago, I took a leap of faith and started this little business, never really knowing where it would take me. Looking back, I’m just so grateful for how far this little dream has come. I know I didn’t get here all on my own, and I’m thankful to God for the opportunities, the people I’ve met, and the chance to do something I genuinely love.

This year, I’ve met the sweetest families, captured growing bellies and tiny newborn details, and watched couples fall into each other laughing. I’ve been invited into so many special seasons of people’s lives, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

I’ve learned SO much this year. I’ve grown as a photographer, as a business owner, and as a person. I’ve had moments where I’ve questioned myself, celebrated little wins, and realized just how much I still have to learn. But I’m here, a whole year later, still doing something that makes my heart happy.

To every family, couple, and client who has trusted me with your memories, shared my work, recommended me to a friend, or supported this little business in any way, THANK YOU. You have no idea how much it means to me.

Honestly, I think the best family pictures are the ones where everyone is laughing and just having fun together. The tickle fights, the chaos, and the moments where nobody can keep a straight face. Those are the pictures that end up being favorites.

POV: You book anniversary photos and end up having the best time with your favorite person.

These two made my job SO much fun! The laughs, the little looks, the moments in between… this is exactly why I love capturing couples. It’s not about knowing how to pose or being perfect in front of the camera. It’s about showing up, having fun, and celebrating the love you’ve built together. 🫶

The progress of a small business owner is honestly a little concerning sometimes. 😂

One minute you’re excited about starting your business, and the next you’re wondering how busy season is already here and why your to-do list has a to-do list.

But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it. 🥹

A little peek at yesterday’s fall minis! I had SO much fun with these, and I’m already thinking about doing another round for families like mine who love beautiful photos and sometimes need a little last-minute session! 🤪

And the puppies?! I was happily surprised by all the sweet pups I got to meet yesterday! I might have to make these dog-friendly sessions a regular thing!

A little reminder I’ve been giving myself lately: someone else’s progress doesn’t take away from your own.

It’s so easy to look at other photographers, small business owners, or even people in completely different seasons of life and wonder if you’re doing enough. I know I’ve caught myself doing it, too.

But I’m learning that I don’t need to follow someone else’s timeline. I’m building Tiny Glow Photography one client at a time, all while being a stay-at-home mom to my crazy twins. My goal is to keep learning, take on more clients, attend more events, and work toward making this my full-time career next year.

And honestly, some of the best parts of this journey have been the people I’ve met along the way. Couples beginning their love stories, families celebrating new seasons of life, and parents welcoming their little ones. Being trusted to capture these moments is something I’ll always be grateful for.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, excited for what’s ahead, and learning to celebrate the little wins instead of always focusing on how far I still have to go.

Whatever it is you’re working toward, I hope you give yourself some credit, too. You don’t have to be where someone else is to be proud of where you are.
