Join us Thursday May 14, 6:30-8 p.m. to hear Linda Mahoney of Waldoboro speak about her photographic images created in series with titles such as: “Vestiges,” “Sensate Botanicals,” “Liminal,” and “Places I’ve Never Been.”
The Club meets at the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum in Brunswick and the presentation is free for members of FLCC; $10 for others.
Linda Mahoney has been a view camera photographer and silver gelatin printer for over forty years and only recently began working with a pocket digital camera. She holds an MFA in Photography from The Rhode Island School of Design and a B.A., Magna cm Laude, in Art History from Wellesley College. She assisted and studied with Olive Pierce, Paul Caponigro, William Clift and Minor White. Prior to moving to Waldoboro, she was an instructor of Photography and History of Art at various institutions including Fitchburg State College, The Winsor School, The Art Institute of Boston, New England School of Photography, and Kenyon College. Her work is in numerous collections, including The Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The Fogg Art Museum, The Boston Public Library, The McMullen Museum of Art, The Davis Museum, The Columbus Museum of Art, and The Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY.
