As we continue the I AM Woman 2 Pride 2026 Project, we are excited to introduce our Day 10 featured participant, Bodacious Brandon.

Brandon's journey is a powerful reflection of resilience, authenticity, and transformation. He understands that Pride is not simply about being seen; it's about remaining true to yourself through every challenge, every setback, and every victory that shapes your story.

For Brandon, Pride means standing firmly in his truth and embracing the person he was created to be. His journey has taught him that authenticity is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. PRIDE 2026 SPOTLIGHT: RICK

As we continue the I AM Woman 2 Pride 2026 Project, we are thrilled to introduce our Day 9 featured participant, Rick.

Rick's Pride journey spans decades of courage, advocacy, and unapologetic visibility. What began with a life-changing experience at one of Connecticut's earliest Pride celebrations evolved into a lifelong commitment to showing up, speaking out, and ensuring that future generations understand the importance of living authentically.

For Rick, Pride began in 1982 with the inaugural Hartford Pride celebration at the Old State House. Witnessing the beauty, joy, and freedom of q***r expression in broad daylight awakened something powerful within him. It was more than a celebration it was an invitation to belong, to stand proudly in his truth, and to become part of a movement much larger than himself.

That spark, the "Pride bug," as Rick affectionately calls it continues to inspire him today. Through marching, organizing, protesting, and remaining visible, Rick has dedicated himself to helping others find their voices and recognize the power of their presence. He understands that visibility matters and that every act of authenticity creates space for someone else to do the same.

Rick's purpose is rooted in community and action. He encourages others to embrace their true, fabulous selves without apology and to stand boldly in the face of adversity. His journey reminds us that Pride is not only about celebrating how far we've come but also about continuing the work of advocacy, visibility, and collective liberation.
