Rain moved the ceremony inside yesterday at the Lakehouse — and then it stopped just in time for us to head back outside.

Two years ago I handed my card to a mom at preschool pickup.

Yesterday her daughter got married.

Mackenzie booked me before we’d ever met. We did an engagement session, and from the first five minutes it was obvious — these two are the real deal.

Yesterday at Waverly Oaks it all came together.

The rain held through the ceremony.

A rainbow showed up during cocktail hour.

Their dog Brewski joined them for the ceremony.

CO2 cannons on the dance floor.

And Mackenzie — happy tears from the moment her makeup was done to the last song of the night.

Both families partied like it was the last party on earth.

This is why I do this. 🤍

Blue skies. Soft light. A rainbow nobody was expecting. A sunset that stopped everyone on the beach. A dance floor full of people I’ve known for years.

Victoria and Blake at Wychmere Beach Club — two people who know this industry better than almost anyone, who’ve seen what a perfect wedding day looks like a hundred times over, and somehow pulled one off themselves.

Victoria is a wedding producer. Blake is a wedding DJ. Between the two of them they’ve seen hundreds of weddings from the inside.

She picked us anyway. That one meant a lot.

THIS RIGHT HERE. This is what it’s all about. I have had the literal honor of photographing every single one of these weddings.

Eight amazing humans, four Torigian siblings (two sets of twins which is WILD), four weddings in five years, and one incredibly thankful photographer. Repeat business from the same family means the world to me and I’m feeling extremely grateful right now.

Lauren and Paulo - thank you for starting all of this for me. It has been the honor of a lifetime getting to know you and your families. I can’t wait to meet your new baby!

Andrea and Mark - thank you for thinking of me when it came time for Mark to propose and securing me my second Torigian wedding. (Also, pick the images for your album already! Lol)

Amy and Tim - thank you for having an absolutely breathtaking wedding at one of my (now) favorite venues and bringing countless more wedding clients to my business.

And finally, Kelsey and Michael (ohhhhh Michael!) - thank you for an AMAZING weekend in Vermont. Your wedding was literally a fairytale and could not have been more perfect.
