Cocktail hour is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day to photograph.

The pressure is off. Guests have a drink in hand. Conversations start flowing. The newlyweds finally get a chance to soak everything in.

At Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club in Portsmouth, that energy feels even more elevated. Between the exposed brick, live music, incredible acoustics, craft cocktails, and contemporary atmosphere, every corner feels like it belongs in a magazine.

These are the kinds of celebrations I’ll never get tired of documenting—weddings that feel equal parts sophisticated, lively, and completely personal.

When these two reached out from Manhattan while planning a trip to Cape Cod, I knew Chatham Lighthouse Beach would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement session.

They found me through one of my Cape Cod engagement blogs, and getting to photograph them among the dunes, beach grass, and shoreline views felt like such a full-circle moment.
