I put this session off for over a year while I dealt with my own internal meltdown. Kaden was gracious and nothing but patient and understanding.
I met Kaden in 2016, and did her engagement shoot at Battleship Cove and subsequently her wedding.
When she came up to do her shoot for the “Love You Photo Project”, and my almost-8-year-old daughter said hi to her, I realized we had shot Kaden’s wedding only months after I’d given birth to my daughter.

After 6 years in Vermont and 4 of the worst client experiences I’ve ever had (EVER) I had retreated. By 2025, I feel like a shell of my
Former photographer self - who lived and breathed with my camera.
Seeing Kaden, and having such an easy flow with her and loving how much she loves herself after triumphs and loss, after weight loss and a gained sense of self was so monumental to me. Her easy going nature and sharp mind have always made her a joy to be around.
We talked about back home, and she brought with her a reminder of who I was, who I am and how much my work is appreciated.
