I’ve always been drawn to making and absorbing spaces. I grew up playing “architect” like a child plays “house.” I browsed the real estate brochures my parents would grab from the grocery store on long drives which has since turned into sending my dad amazing web listings that we will never buy. I take walks at night to see the worlds inside the windows. And my first “serious” photo series as a high schooler was quiet, minimalist images of abandoned homes. When .helene came to my university in undergrad and talked about making a living by existing in architectural spaces, watching light and people naturally flow through, and capturing that essence in images, it seemed like a total dream combo of so many things I enjoyed. Through my new project , a business primarily focused on documenting art (individual works and exhibitions) and architecture (real estate, vacation rentals, commercial properties), I’m hoping to make that dream come true for myself.
If you’re interested in these sorts of images too, or just so generously supportive, please follow along! And if you happen to know anyone in need of services–especially in New England or Fargo/Moorhead/Minneapolis (in late December) please let me know! I hate to make a plug for this sort of thing, but it really takes community to build anything sustainable and strong.
