Katie Marie Photography is my second child, brought into the world in 2011. My son Gavin, now 12, was my first subject: I loved capturing the golden evening light in his baby hairs. At first I didn't even know I had a knack for it - it was only after friends and family began to ask about my rates that I realized I could make it my job. My business has grown in offerings since then, and I truly lov
e any human subject. I specialize in families, newborns, and all the major milestones. It's been a delight to get to see families grow from behind my lens: taking a couple's engagement photos and baby photos a few years later, or capturing middle school awkwardness and then senior pictures down the line. I love working with people of all races, genders, sizes, abilities, and orientations - everyone deserves their moment of glamour in the perfect lighting, with their hair just right. When I have to put the camera down? I live in BG with my husband Chris - we've been married for 13 years and he's one of my favorite subjects - and our children Gavin, Avery, and Oliver. I love Taco Bell, which is also conveniently where I met Chris (truly a one-stop shop!), so much that our calico cats are literally named Cinnamon Twist & Chalupa Supreme.
