Before-bed make-believe. These moments are so precious. 💜

My husband and I were recently lamenting how fast they grow up, but each stage truly is a gift. With the independence of a two-nager (or three-nager) comes the vivid imagination of a little one who is slowly (or quite quickly) putting two and two together about how the world around them works. Alongside all this new understanding is their growing ability to express their increasingly complex thoughts in increasingly eloquent ways. The combination of all these changes brings both frustrating battles of the will and sweet glimpses into their growing little minds. It can be so easy to focus on those battles, but it’s the sepia memories that are the ones worth remembering.

When I'm not taking pictures of babies, I capture (sometimes) exciting nature photos and videos. I don't always post them here because lately they've been mostly arachnid photos and imo, creepy-crawly spiders don't belong on the same page as darling little babies. See them here:
