🥺 The ups & downs of farm life as a wildlife photographer. 📸
The joy of 2 cute baby deer 💛 born on our land this afternoon, mama knows us and visits daily. The new babies taking their first steps under our trees. 🌲
But only a few hours later a bald eagle flies over and SNATCHES a baby!! 🦅😲
I saw other deer running past the window and came outside just in time to watch it fly off.

I normally love that we have these majestic birds right nearby and then complain frequently about how they just fly past us, never land here at the farm and how we don’t get good shots of them at home.
Well today as the second eagle circled baby 2, it was the dilemma of get that close eagle action shot I’ve been wanting… or save the baby…

I saved the baby deer. Put the big camera down and chased off the other eagle. 🦅
Here’s hoping baby 2 survives the night 🤞🏻
