Fall on Film

Back to posting! Sorry for my absence as I have been sick! But, what better way to get back into the swing of things with some film! I got a few more rolls of Ektar 100 120 which has become my personal favorite medium to shoot on with my Fuji GW690II capturing these massive 6x9 negatives. Ektar 100 did a fantastic job on this foggy fall morning. Between the tree being slightly wet from the fog, but being in direct sunrise light, the red leaves were showcasing their vibrant colors. The saturation was not touched in this image at all!

A few weeks back I had the honor of doing my first ever mountaintop first look photoshoot. After getting up Mount Cardigan and meeting the couple, they changed clothes and got ready for a first look. We took some photos before heading to the summit for some more photos with the fall foliage. Some of these are some of my favorite portraits I've done, and I'm so thankful I had the honor to do this photoshoot!

During my drive up in Sugar Hill, I found myself driving through random back roads when I stumbled upon this stretch. I love how the sun lit up the golden leaves perfectly.

Still Waters

This was from a day biking the Franconia Notch Bike Path where we stopped ata very pleasantly still Profile Lake with this perfectly placed leaf on driftwood.

Accidental Heron

While I was spending my day up north in Sugar Hill last week, I spotted a pond shown in an earlier photo I posted. While I was further away, I used my zoom lens to look into the pond and I was able to spot 2 wood ducks swimming in the pond! I was so excited as I've never been able to photograph wood ducks. I made my way down to the waterline and I no longer could see the ducks anymore. After searching for a bit for the ducks and not having any luck, I was about to give up and turn around to go back to the car, but last second I spotted this Heron sitting atop a tree maybe 15-20 feet in front of me. I sat with him for a few moments, capturing some photos before he took off into the trees where I was able to get this one shot with the sunrise glow.
