BRING ON FALL 🧡💛🤎• The neutral lovers season is upon us! I have been such a fan of all the neutral colors because it just means we are that closer to fall, which I prefer over summer only because the Louisiana summers are no joke and our summer is far too long, like October needs to be cool and it’s a catch 22 if we get any cool weather by Halloween.

But I am ready for cooler temps, fall colors and decorating for my favorite season! 🍁🎃

SWEET SUMMER ENDS ✨• This summer was a bit different for me. I didn’t have a lot of photo shoots this summer but what I did get to shoot I am so thankful for! That should be scary but thankfully by the grace of God he prepared me for times such as these when it is a slow time of year for photos.

Another beautiful family from this summer that I’m finally getting to share! Living in the country does for sure have its advantages when you have a whole pasture to shoot in. Brandi Moody Holmes & Miles have two of the most beautiful and playful little loves! I love getting to see my clients lives grow! The sun came in and out for these but it really is getting so much easier to shoot in full sun 🙌🏻

AUTUMN VIBES 🍁• Even though we here in Louisiana are no where near the feeling of fall, I still have yet to showcase a few more sessions from the spring and summer season. I was so glad I got to head down to Natty and capture Nancy Melinda Ray and her little loves! Picking flowers, playing ring around the rosie, and giving so much love and hugs all around! It was such a fun session! Getting so excited to see all my fall fams soon!

SWEET SUMMERTIME 🌻✨• The sunflowers have always been such a sweet part of summer. This year was no different! It’s hard to do the sunflower sessions sometimes because once clients have done them, they don’t normally do them again unless they just really love sunflowers but each year if I even get one that wants to do them, it’s always such an awesome session and I have a blast!

The Sarpy girls were just the sweetest sisters and those smiles are the most genuine thing you’ll see! We had so much fun just laughing, dancing and picking flowers! 🌻

THE EZELL’S ✨• Such a beautiful family!! This was my last session at By J Michael Photography Co this summer and I am so glad it was such a good one! So sad that OnSet has closed its doors but I have had some amazing shoots there and I can’t thank The J Michael Experience enough for it! TIME IS PRICELESS ✨• One of the things I love most getting to capture memories is the moment in time we will never get again. Time with loved ones is priceless. Even if we don’t always agree, live close or just are so busy, loved ones are never replaceable.

I have so many amazing families who come to me each year - thankfully - and allow me to not only take photos for cards and posts… but for them. So that they document growth, additions and time standing still where they are together.

Being a wedding photographer I get to capture the beginning of a story, a love story that over time will build into whatever the couple chooses. After that day, it is always so amazing to be able to be asked back to capture another part of it again and again.

When I get a new family or client on my books, I hope I see them again and again to get to continue each story as life goes on.

These 4 families were a blessing to capture some for the first time and some for a second, third or fourth, I am thankful for them all trusting me to capture these for them and I can’t wait to see them all again!

V ✨• How do you feel about doing 4 different themed shoots in about 4 hours? Well… that’s what we did with this set of shoots! From simple 1950s changes to building a garden in a dining room, making a floral dress and then getting in the water, we did a lot in that 4 hours! Vernae Ewing Thompson always slays though as you can see! With the amazing help of Lance Thompson & V’s awesome sister Bri it all came together!

IVY 🫧 • Bubbles have been a theme lately in the studio with me I guess, but who doesn’t love bubbles? This lovely little lady graced my camera a little while ago but her photos are just too cute not to share! We had flowers, ballon’s, bubbles AND confetti! It was a ONE year bday shoot for the books!
