Grand Canyon National Park. One of the world’s most intriguing sites. On this particular day, it rained. It cooled off, causing the wildlife to stir. Once the rain stopped and the clouds parted, a lone bighorn sheep made its way out onto the canyon. This was when I wished I had convinced myself to bring my zoom lens on vacation.

The evening started off cloudy, so I thought the moon would not be visible. At 9:00 PM CDT, I stepped outside with my camera. The sky had cleared, leaving only the moon. The eclipse began around 9:30 PM CDT, and what an experience it was! I stayed until the moon became shaded once again.

I am so happy I witnessed the eclipse, but I hope next time I have a lens for cosmic events. My 70-300mm lens was good enough to capture the eclipse. I hate I missed the blood moon phase!

The Myrtles, an iconic, 225-year-old home, is nestled among the grand oak trees of south Louisiana. The house is considered one of the most haunted homes in America and is located in St. Francesville, Louisiana. If you’re brave enough, you can stay the night to experience the happy haunts.

Vogel Ski Resort, 2017, Slovenia. 🇸🇮

My mother has had a pen pal for nearly 40 years from Trbovle, Slovenia. We had the privilege of surprising her on the television show Dan najlepših sanj (Day of the Most Beautiful Dreams). This was the first time they had seen each other or heard each other’s voices. They only wrote handwritten letters to each other. ✍️

While we were there, mother’s pen pal took us to the beautiful ski resort, Vogel, located in the Julian Alps. 🏔

While exploring the area, I came upon this tiny cabin on the edge of the woods with a large mountain in the distance. I thought it was a beautiful sight and snapped the photograph.
