I recently had the opportunity to celebrate my sponsorship of the DuPage Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Auditions at their “Mariachi Mosaic!” concert, where Mariachi Acero de Las Vegas joined the DSO for a festive celebration of Mexican musical traditions blending symphonic and folkloric styles.

The evening also featured a solo performance by Cecilia O’Malley, First Place Winner of the DSO’s 2026 Young Artists Auditions and recipient of an MFP professional photography package.

I was also honored to exhibit one of my Frida-inspired portraits at the invitation of the DuPage Hispanic Alliance, who partnered with the DSO to showcase 20 Latin artists in the lobby of the beautiful Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating local artists and our diverse community. 🎻🎼🎨📸🖼️🇲🇽🎉

This Saturday, April 25, I’ll be part of the Bolingbrook Earth Day Festival art exhibition at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 2–6 PM; and since it’s literally a 1 minute 38 second walk from my studio (yes, I timed it LOL), I’m also hosting a studio Open House.

Come see my two pieces in the exhibition as selected by the Bolingbrook Arts Council, then walk over past the picnic area for a guided studio tour, see what’s new at Morna Freitas Photography, and enter to win a free Mini Session.
