Last Saturday, my oldest son, Hunter, graduated from Hoosier Academy!
When Hunter first started high school, I pictured his graduation looking very different. But one thing I’ve learned over the years is that every child learns differently, and there is no “one size fits all” path to success. Sometimes the best path is the one that works for that individual student.
Choosing online school wasn’t the traditional route, but it was the right route for Hunter. He worked hard, stayed focused, overcame challenges, and reached this important milestone on his own terms.
As parents, we all have visions of how certain moments in our children’s lives will unfold. Sometimes those moments look different than we imagined, and that’s okay. What matters is that they keep moving forward, growing, and accomplishing their goals.
Hunter, I am so incredibly proud of the young man you have become and all the hard work you put in to earn your diploma. Congratulations on your graduation! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
