For a few fleeting weeks each autumn, the aspen forests transform.

Golden leaves tremble in the mountain breeze, catching fragments of sunlight as they fall through the canopy. The sound is just as captivating the soft flutter and rustle of thousands of leaves moving together, like nature’s own soundtrack.

Walking through these groves, it’s easy to forget everything beyond the trees. Just light, wind, color and the brief spectacle of a season passing by.

Fall is in the air. Crisp mornings, forest trails, rushing waterfalls and leaves slowly trading their summer greens for shades of gold, orange, and red.

This time of year has a way of slowing everything down. The light feels softer, the air feels fresher, and every trail seems to offer a new scene worth stopping for.

There’s something special about watching the forest transform and listening to the leaves rustling in the wind.

I have walked past this waterfall a dozen times but never taken the time to walk the pool below and take it all in. It would have been easy to sit in this spot for hours and watch the water cascading over the rocks into the pool below.
