Since the Artist Point/Mt Baker area is our backyard, we've spent a lot of time in a lot of the Airbnbs in this area.

Personally, our top recommendation to couples (eloping just them two) is.......

📍

We love the privacy, unique framing and windows, cozy vibe, lush surrounding and of course, there is a hot tub.

It's the perfect romantic setting for getting ready and resting before and after your elopement day ✨

So excited to share more from Sam + Shelby's elopement day from this past summer.

During their elopement we started with a slow morning getting ready in the cabin before heading to Artist Point for a first look, ceremony and some joyous dancing!

After a break, they got ready again, cut the cake Shelby had made them (it was delicious!) and then we set out for a hike into the wilderness where they read letters from family and soaked in the day! ✨

Adventure-loving couples getting married in 2027 ➡️ this is your sign that your wedding does not have to look like a wedding, but more so like your kind of adventure ✨

It can look like hiking boots covered in red dirt.
Celebrating under 100s of stars instead of DJ lights.
Two witnesses instead of two hundred guests.
A ceremony somewhere quiet, wild, and meaningful.

A day that feels more like you than anything tradition told you it had to be.

If you're new here, Adventure and Vow 👋🏼 a husband and wife elopement photo + video team helping couples plan, experience, and document intentional adventure elopements across places like Moab, Alaska, Washington, and beyond.

We help with location scouting, timeline planning, permits, ceremony support, photography, video, officiating, and all the little logistics that make an elopement feel grounded instead of overwhelming.

So you can spend your wedding day actually being present together, not performing for a room, managing a timeline, or wondering what comes next.

If you’re dreaming about a 2027 adventure elopement, follow along for location ideas, planning tips, and real elopement inspiration from couples who chose something more intentional. 🫶🏼

I think Moab is the most underrated place to get married, there's endless options of how to spend your day.

You could have...

A campground wedding complete with a bar and dance floor.

You could get married rafting on the river while a saxophonist plays music.

You could get married on a vista ledge you off roaded to at sunset.

You could get married in while exploring a new national park.

You could get married while in the middle of a canyon or on top of a desert spire if you prefer being on ropes.

Or you could literally do all of these things!

Anyway, you get the point. 😊
No matter your adventure, no matter how you envision your wedding day - Moab has it all.

Can't wait to share more from this camp ground wedding along the Colorado River here soon ✨

The reality is you can only see a place for the first time once.

We're lucky enough that we get to see a place for the first over and over again, through our couples eyes 🥹

Some of the most memorable things we've heard couples say during their elopement together is their reaction to the location they've chosen to spend their wedding day and share their vows at.

Places like this one.

We've heard it so many times here and an other specific locations we like to share with our couples - "This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen."

Imagine that feeling on your elopement day. ✨

Nerdy me, also wants to sure with you, that it's not just about being inspired or in awe. It's also scientifically proven, you make some of your most profound, detailed memories in new-to-you places.

Now that's what I call, a perfect elopement spot.
Stunning + memorable.

This is a reminder that we need to stop treating wedding days like the best days of our lives together. 👀

Sure, on this day it may be the best so far, but keep in mind this is just the beginning.

The wedding is the marker.
The ritual.
A celebration of past + present.

But the marriage is what follows....

The ordinary mornings.
The inside jokes.
The hard seasons.
The way you keep choosing each other when life is full, messy, beautiful, and real.

That deserves to be celebrated, too.

Not just once.
Not just on the wedding day.
Not just when there’s a dress, a bouquet and vows.

Taking the time to be together and to celebrate your marriage, no matter if you are 1 year in, 5 years, or 10 years in, is about investing time into your marriage to create and savor joy.

It's about longevity and happiness within your marriage.

Just like an elopement day, it can be an intentional reflection of what you have and are continuing to build together.

Im not sure where along in humanity we decided this was the one and only day we could celebrate loudly other than 10 and 50 years of marriage was the wedding day, but that's not the mind set that's going to build marriages that go the 50 year distance, happily.

Do you agree or disagree???
I want to hear your opinion in the comments. ⬇️

What I love about photographing couples on their elopement day or an engagement session, anniversary session or a just because session is the moment they take time to slow down, hold each other, give each other kisses.

It's the most intimate date night.

It's a honor to hold that space for couples, but to also document this moment within their journey.
