My name is Kaitlyn, but you can call me Kait! Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. I am a lover of natural light, bright and airy photos. I found myself filling my phones storage with photos until I received my first camera as a gift and the rest was sweet, photo history. I started out taking photos in nature, but have recently expanded to portraits and lifestyle sessio

ns. Along with photography, I enjoy eating, hiking, interior decorating, growing indoor plants & veterinary medicine. I love all things antique, southern, and sparkly! I am a recent college graduate with a cell and molecular biology degree from Appalachian State University. I also studied 3 years at East Carolina. I have two fur babies named Boone and Clyde, who are my full-time models. I am currently located in Kernersville, North Carolina but am willing to travel locally to surrounding areas. What's the meaning behind that? I started this photography page and business in dedication of my brother, David, who always supported me and loved my photos. We were always a sibling team, so KnD, like K & D, just made perfect sense. I like to think he's smiling down knowing that he gets half the credit! Why I fell in love with wedding photography.. the portrait magic. It’s meaningful. It’s emotional. Often it’s the only time you get with your new spouse. Capturing that chemistry is something I always look forward to.

When my friend Sarah asked me to photograph her for her third baby, I was so emotional because this is her third belly I’ve gotten to capture for her. The third beautiful life she’s grown that I’ve been blessed to witness. The years of change and friendship. The sweet babies she’s raised who are now part of their new baby sister’s photos. The endless love.

Sarah and I talked about how unreal it is that life goes by in a blink. It seemed like just yesterday we were taking her first maternity photos when I was just getting started fumbling around with photography. I think I just had my basic kit camera. Then fast forward to her second maternity photos and including her firstborn as a toddler. Fast forward again to both of those babies grown like weeds and the bitter sweetness of seeing their life next to the brand new little life. It’s. Unreal.

When you ask me to take your photos, I cherish the season you’re in. I’m moved by the trust you give me to capture it for you. I feel beyond blessed to be involved in your life.
