While retirement is truly wonderful, I do miss those drives home from the valley when I could pull over and capture a beautiful sunset.
There was always something different waiting along the way… and sometimes the sky put on quite a show!
I may not miss the commute, but I sure miss these moments.

9 years ago today… and I still remember this view. ❤️
There are the more well-known granite formations, Half Dome, and then there are so many, many more. North and east of Half Dome is this breathtaking view of North Dome, Basket Dome and numerous other granite formations and mountain peaks, all displayed beneath a spectacular sky full of clouds and rain.
I believe the view from this day is forever etched in my memory.
Nine years later, I can still look at this photograph and feel the same sense of awe I felt standing there. Some views you photograph… and some views become a part of you. ❤️

Who remembers standing at the top of Glacier Point six years ago tomorrow, 7/17/2020, waiting as the sun slipped below the horizon… and then watching Comet NEOWISE appear in the evening sky?
It was one of those magical Yosemite moments that reminds you just how small we are and how breathtaking this world can be. Standing there with so many others, all quietly looking up, is a memory I’ll never forget.
Were you there that night? I’d love to hear your memories! 🌌✨

I hope all of my photography friends enjoyed a wonderful celebration of our nation’s 250th Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🎆
I was blessed to spend the day with two of our precious grands, making memories at beautiful Bass Lake and enjoying this spectacular fireworks display. While I missed the rest of our family and friends, who were celebrating elsewhere, my heart was full knowing everyone was making memories of their own.
Wishing you all a year filled with peace, gratitude, and countless moments worth capturing through your own lens. ❤️🤍💙

The ocean has a way of speaking to the soul without saying a word. 🌊
The salty air, the endless horizon, the sparkle of sunlight dancing across the water… it’s a reminder that some of life’s greatest treasures are found in moments of simple beauty.
No matter how many times I visit the coast, it never loses its magic. ❤️ GratefulHeart

A decade ago, this sunset stopped me in my tracks. Today, it reminds me that no matter what challenges life brings, there is always light beyond the clouds. Some sunsets don’t mark an ending—they remind us to look forward to a new day with gratitude and hope.
