Yearly reminder to be nice to your photographer

The next 15 days I have 4 senior sessions, 2 senior rep sessions, a day full of Fall minis, 4 family sessions and a wedding. Not to mention real estate houses I do during the day and 8 sessions in que to be edited.

At the moment I’m running on caffeine, protein bars and the very bare minimum of sleep required to function 🤣

Being a perfectionist in a job where you realize perfection is something you’ll never fully achieve is not for the weak.

Does it benefit my clients? Absolutely. I’m constantly pushing myself to learn, grow, and be better at what I do. But mentally, I think that’s one of the hardest parts of this job… always seeing the little things you could improve, even when others may never notice them.

I read a quote once that has always stuck with me… “Someone, somewhere, is praying to be where you are right now.”

It’s easy to get caught up in what I could have done better or what I still want to achieve, but I never want to lose sight of how incredibly thankful I am to have been in business for as long as I have, or for the number of lives and milestones I’ve been invited into.

Every family, every senior, every couple, every chapter I’ve been trusted to document… it’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Looking back at where I started, I know I still have so much to learn. I hope I never lose that desire to grow. But I also hope I never get so caught up in becoming better that I forget to be grateful for how far I’ve already come.

Thank you for being part of this journey. For trusting me with your memories, inviting me into your lives, and allowing me to do something I love. I truly wouldn’t be here without you. 🩷
