Photographing Ashlyn and Jacob’s intimate wedding was so special because we photographed their surprise proposal two years ago. We hit it off talking about life, movies, aliens, and what they enjoy doing together. They are such a sweet couple who support each other in beautiful ways. 💜

They wanted causal day where they had their closest friends and family by their side. With light rain in the afternoon, they shared their private vows on the porch of their Airbnb before heading to Grace Heritage Church for their ceremony.

While I was taking group photos, Bradley captured their loved ones enjoying drinks at Kork W**e Bar before we all went to Juliet Social for pasta, toasts, and celebration!

The evening was perfect and here’s a glimpse into their lovely celebration. 🌟

We’ve been fully enjoying this summer and spending time recharging before this fall wedding season with family and friends. So what better way to hop back online by sharing part two of Julia and John’s engagement session at their wedding venue Top Austin Wedding Venue 😍

We started their session at their house so we could photograph them with their perfect dogs (see previous post). It was amazing getting to connect with them as we walk on the property they will be getting married at in just over 8 months from now!

Julia and John have a way of being grounded together and enjoying a sense of playfulness that is so beautiful. We truly cannot wait to photograph their wedding and see how this next chapter in their lives look like. Congratulations y’all!!

Julia and John are one of those stories where they met last year on the apps after independently deciding they would give it one last shot. It was love at first sight and they’ve spent almost every day together since!

Julia loves John’s sense of humor and energy. He is fun to be around and makes every day things more exciting! For John, Julia has a confidence and beauty about her and loves him the way he’s looked for his whole life. They both shared that they love how each of them love their dogs (all 4 of them) and they spend a lot of time with them.

We suggested we photograph their engagement session with the dogs and were so excited they were thrilled to do so! If you don’t know already, we love animals and any time we can meet a family member of the clients we work with the better.

Julia and John’s session started at their home and ended at their wedding venue. Because there are so many favorite images, we’re going to split their session in two posts!

Here’s a relaxed evening with them and Dahlia, Timmy, Jack, and Nana.

Your engagement session can be anything you want it to be! We love helping couples photograph this chapter in their lives in a way that feels unique to them. And this one was 💯

It’s so easy to get in my head about which photos to share on this feed, how to portray our brand, and which moments will grab people’s attention because sometimes it feels daunting. So here I am, grabbing some moments of a wedding from last fall of these amazing wedding videographers who got married. We had worked with them a couple of times and are in the same circle of friends. Gabby and Jose are the best people you can know and they have the biggest hearts! Literal gems 😍 This day was one of the best celebrations and in part because we were surrounded by friends and familiar faces.

We loved photographing Macy and Savannah’s engagement session at one of our favorite places, McKinney Falls State Park! These two are so awesome and we loved adventuring with them while the park looked the best it’s ever looked after a spring filled with rain.

Savannah and Macy met at UNT where they both wanted to become RA’s and were at an event where you learn the process. They never did end up doing that but they did quickly spend a lot of time together. In their words, “We kind of skipped the friend phase and immediately started being cute and dating each other.” ☺️

We’re so excited to photograph their intimate backyard wedding next spring and will be surely sharing more of these photos. Congratulations y’all, we’re so happy to celebrate with you in this chapter of your lives!

When we say you should do whatever on your wedding day that makes you happy, we 100% mean it.

Sometimes couples bring up ideas to us, or mention plans or surprises with a slight hesitation in their voice because maybe it’s a bit different. We’re here to say that different is unique, it’s intentional, it’s personal, it’s what makes you, YOU!

So when Makenzie and Greyson said they would have a fire eater at their wedding we were so excited!

They had a first date at the ren fair and met Thomas Woods who was performing there. It was only appropriate to ask him to perform at their wedding! They love going to the ren fair, playing dnd, and any other fun and nerdy (with love) activity together. This was the perfect surprise to their friends and family!

Hope this encourages you to make decisions for your wedding day that feels authentic. It can be simple, it can be extravagant, but most importantly, make it you!

Steven and Becca had their stunning, intimate wedding at which fit them so perfectly. The venue is a restored 1930’s church turned into an art space that rotates works from Austin women and non-binary artists. We loved how this space was already perfect for their day.

These two met through an astrology group that Steven co-hosted. Not long after they officially met at a psychology book club where they were hosting a meet-and-greet for new members ahead of a new book. They hit it off immediately and connected over these interests, along with their philosophy in life and their connection to the earth and stars.

Their ceremony was contained within a sound bath, ring warming, and a few readings from their close friends.

The intentionality put into their day was beautiful and a reminder to embrace who you are on such an important day of your life. We really enjoyed celebrating with them and documenting their wedding day that they can cherish for generations. ✨

Adam and Jason wanted their session to be relaxed and at ease with each other so there was no better place to suggest than LBJ Wildflower Center!

Earlier this year we photographed their courthouse wedding so they could get married so they are already husband and husband!

These two are so sweet and playful together and we had the best time getting to know them! We learned that they have over 150 board games, a Jumanji sized bird of paradise plant, Adam bakes snacks and treats while Jason dnd’s, and they hand scooped over 100 gallons of ice cream together on Adam’s opening day of his ice cream shop. (Yes they had to ice their arms after the last one)

Their support and love for each other is beautiful to witness and we can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with them later this fall!

Spring weddings like this one fills my soul. Natalee and Cason’s wedding details were so dreamy and romantic! It was the perfect reflection of them. 🌸
