Hey, you do YOU, ok?
You wouldn’t tell a chef they could only cook one dish for their entire career… they have the skills and the tools, literally LET THEM COOK.
The same applies for a photographer… hear me out:
I’ve spent 15+ years photographing what inspires me. I photograph people in love, doing what they love, growing a family they love, launching a business they love, creating the art they love, in places I love, for people I love. It turns out it’s impossible to niche down when you work with people who inspire you. Why would I want to put a limit on my creativity? Why would I stop challenging myself? I think any creative would agree that expansion in art is necessary.
From portraits to weddings, families, babies, births, events, musicians, entrepreneurs, podcasters, artists, the list goes on. I’d say it’s important to have your photographer on hand for all of it. Build a relationship with one, watch how trust makes everything flourish.
So no, I will not be niching down anytime soon.
