🚩 How to Spot Scammers:

* 🚩 The price seems too good to be true. Purebred kittens from health-tested parents are rarely sold at bargain prices. Under 2500 is suspicious.
* 🚩 They refuse to video chat. A legitimate breeder should be willing to FaceTime or video call so you can see the kitten live.
* 🚩 No recent photos or videos. Scammers often steal photos from other breeders and can’t provide updated pictures. They’ll have photos with various different backgrounds. Look at the background!! They’ll also post many different kittens of different ages in one day.
* 🚩 They pressure you to send money immediately. β€œSomeone else is interested” or β€œPay right now or you’ll lose the kitten” is a common tactic.
* 🚩 Be cautious if they insist on gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers.
* 🚩 No contract. Ethical breeders typically use a written contract outlining responsibilities and health guarantees. This contract should be available for review with the cattery name.
* 🚩 They avoid answering questions. A responsible breeder welcomes questions and knows their breed well.
* 🚩 They have no online presence or history. Look for a consistent page, website, reviews, and previous kitten updates.
* 🚩 They use stolen photos. Reverse image search their kitten photos to see if they appear on other websites or breeder pages.
* 🚩 They promise immediate shipping with little discussion. Ethical breeders care where their kittens go and will ask you questions too.
* 🚩 Poor grammar isn’t proofβ€”but inconsistent details are. Watch for changing stories, mismatched names, or conflicting information.
