I've had this idea in my head for actually years, to take a self portrait of me working at desk.
At different points I've imagined my kids being included in this photo, but they're all big enough now that they rarely hang out with me while I work. But, I have logged many hours here with newborns in my arms, bouncing on a exercise ball, a bassinet next to me and the occasional toddler tag along.
The *cutesy* photos are always with laptops, but the truth is, I edit at a desktop in front of these two huge screens. Because details matter to me, I want to see every last pore in those photos and make sure they're flawless. Or at the very least, crisp and sharp.
Funny enough I do use a laptop too, but never for editing, you might find me with my laptop curled up on the couch doing website work, writing or other admin.
Ohhh and an integral part of this process is also the WALKING PAD. I don't talk about it much, but I love my standing desk so much since it gives me the ability to work with a walking pad. There is something about walking while I edit that helps me lock in and focus and I get my best work done.
Ok - that's all. Happy Saturday (and last day of the January photo-a-day creative reset challenge). Now I'll clean up the mess I've made in my studio this month and hopefully share a recap soon :).
