My first wedding of the year was the most refreshing & joy filled day 🥰🥹

I’ll never forget photographing this day only 7 weeks post partum & still on maternity leave. I felt so refreshed and encouraged after serving Macy & Myers and their amazing families. Jesus was so present throughout & He reminded me exactly why He called me to pursue this art. I’m so wildly grateful to document such treasured moments for such wonderful humans.

I’m so excited for what 2026 has in store and I look forward to navigating life as a new mom & full time business owner. 🫶🏻

The hard truth about stressful wedding days 😬🫶🏻

After 8 years of wedding photography experience, it can feel hard to sum up the amount of helpful tips, ideas, and opinions I’ve gained throughout the years. This post especially was hard to condense because there are truly so many ways to avoid a stressful wedding day—and I so desperately want every couple to have the day of their dreams. I also think your family, friends, and vendors deserve to enjoy your day too—and these tips are just a few ways to make sure that happens.

2025 was one for the books 🥹🫶🏻

I started the year with this holiday session in Savannah and I recently re-edited some of my favorites with a new editing style. It’s so cool to see how I’ve grown as an artist over the years and continue to find new ways of documenting beautiful stories. I remember how inspired I felt after this photoshoot knowing there was so much to look forward to in 2025—little did I know just how good it was about to be.

It’s just barely starting to hit me that I photographed my last 2025 wedding this past weekend. This year was SO incredibly full of the Lords goodness with starting it off strong with a rebrand I worked so hard bringing to fruition, photographing bucket list venues with dream couples, Ryan and I finding out we were pregnant, and savoring every bit of quality time with people I love. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how 2025 has made me feel. The Lords provision has been so evident this year and I will always look back on it with a heart full of gratitude for His continued faithfulness.

Thank you to every couple that trusted me with their precious moments and memories this year and beyond. I will never stop pinching myself that this is my job. 😭🤍

I’m closing out the year with 6 more weddings to edit, settling into our new home, quality time with my favorite people, & lots of nesting for baby girls arrival in January!

Wishing everyone a joyful and life giving holiday season 🎄🥳 I can’t wait to see what’s in store in 2026 and I can’t wait to document more beautiful stories to unfold!

“You remind me just how good it can get…” 🤍

I could not have imagined a better husband or father to my children…I’m pinching myself that this is the man I get to raise a family with and experience life with. Ryan Carey is the most servant hearted man I’ve ever known…always anticipating needs and present when I need him. He makes me feel so adored and cherished every day, it makes me so excited for our sweet Amelia girl to experience his love too. She will have the most beautiful example of what a fathers love should look like.

The Lord truly blessed me when He allowed our paths to cross & I am so in awe of His goodness to us. We cannot wait to meet our baby girl & can’t wait to see what Jesus has in store next! 🥹🤍

I will cherish these photos and this season forever and ever. Thank you for documenting it so beautifully 🫶🏻

This day stole my heart 🥹🤍

Ashley and Grants day was the most perfect example of an untraditional & slow paced day. A few ways they made their day their own:

1.They decided to take their bride and groom portraits before their wedding day with me which allowed for an even more relaxed and stress free day for them both 🥰

2. No official bridesmaids and groomsmen, just their closes friend popping champagne and hanging out as the day got started 🥂

3. An outdoor ceremony & reception in their neighbors backyard. They dreamt of getting married here ever since attending a wedding there years prior 🥹

4. No structured portraits during cocktail hour because we made sure to grab family photos before ceremony started. They just mingled and celebrated with their people exactly how they hoped 🥳

This was a dream day for me as a photographer—truly. When you choose to prioritize your joy and peace on your day, it makes documenting that emotion effortless! Anticipating genuine moments rather than having to facilitate and direct so much of what unfolds was such a breath of fresh air. 🫶🏻

This is your sign to take your couples portraits before your wedding day 🥰👇🏼

During Ashley and Grants consult meeting, they communicated with me a top priority for them on their wedding day was to be able to relax, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and to avoid the feeling of being rushed through their moments. They also really wanted to spend more than 30 minutes on bride and groom portraits—which led us to the perfect solution. Let’s schedule time before your wedding day where we can spend a full two hours (or more) just on y’all’s couples portraits 😍

After experiencing their wedding day this past weekend, I can 100% confirm this allowed them to fully be present on their day as they hoped. I was able to prioritize so many other parts of their day as a photographer and felt so much freedom in our timeline. No rush, no stress, just joy.

Not to mention, when you schedule these portraits ahead of time instead of on the day of, we get to play so much more than we would on your actual wedding day. There’s no where else we need to be which allows for even more creativity and effortless moments to unfold. We even started the session with a first look so they didn’t have to miss out on a grand reveal for each other 🥹

Consider this your sign to book a pre-wedding day photoshoot. Choose a unique location, schedule your hair and makeup trial the same day, and get dolled up in your wedding attire for even more wedding portraits you’ll cherish forever. I promise you won’t regret it🫶🏻

If you’re dreaming of a less traditional and more personal day…this one’s for you 👇🏼🤍

This day was the perfect example of an intimate, sentimental, and intentional way to celebrate your commitment to your person. We started the day with a garden ceremony & 20 guests in attendance, time set aside for family photos & couple’s portraits, and then a backyard dinner at their families home 🥹

I always feel SO honored to be a part of someone’s best day, but days like these where the couple is surrounded by only their closest family & friends feels extra special…& extra personal.

One of my favorite parts of the day (pictured at the bottom of the 2nd photo) was when a butterfly strolled into their ceremony and landed on the brides hat during their vows. I’ve never seen something so magical during a ceremony! It flew away right after they said “I do.” Later I find out that butterflies are a reminder to their family of their grandmother who recently passed. These are moments I pinch myself for getting to be a part of let alone document… I’m so wildly thankful for this dream job God gifted me with 🥹🤍🦋

If you don’t love a big crowd or get you tend to get overstimulated easily—but still want to make sure your favorite people are present…a small scale celebration like this one is probably the perfect solution. It allows for a slow paced & easy going atmosphere that is less likely on a full fledged wedding day. There’s more than enough time to soak in your moments with your person, catch up with a close friend, take extra time for couples portraits, etc!

I’m a big believer that you’re day deserves to look however you want it to—traditional or not. It’s YOURS 🫶🏻
