It’s our Anniversary! 20 years and counting… 📸
And just like that…September is coming to a close.
I’ve spent this month celebrating 20 years of Kustom Kreation Photography by opening up the archives and sharing pieces of the journey in a different way.
Not year by year.
Not everything I’ve ever done. 😂
Just stories, moments, experiences and reminders of what 20 years behind the camera has taught me.
And there have definitely been some lessons along the way…
PASSION will get you started.
PEOPLE matter. This business has always been about more than pictures.
CONSISTENCY doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes showing up means changing, adjusting and figuring out a new way.
LESSONS really can become blessings. Even the things that didn’t work taught me something.
START WHERE YOU ARE. You don’t need everything figured out before you begin. I certainly didn’t.
HAPPINESS matters. Make room for the things that bring you joy.
And LEARNING never stops. After 20 years, I’m STILL learning, still taking classes, still asking questions, still experimenting and still figuring things out.
If there’s one thing this anniversary month reminded me of, it’s that 20 years doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It means you have 20 years of experiences to learn from.
So as I close out September, I’m simply THANKFUL.
Thankful for every person who has stepped in front of my camera.
Thankful for every person who has taught me something.
Thankful for every opportunity.
Thankful for the mistakes.
Thankful for the memories.
And thankful that I started.
September may be the end of our anniversary month…
but the story is still being written.
