I’ve been wanting to paint our dearly missed greyhound, Sonic. Back then I wasn’t a photographer yet, and I didn’t have a good camera just a few old phone photos tucked away in my saved Google account.

This snowy little snapshot became something more. Turning it into a painting means I can finally print it, hang it on the wall, and keep his gentle presence close.

Looking through my hard drive of all my saved photos images I found a photograph I captured of the Astoria historic trolley I took several years ago.

This is purely my imagination as I see the mist emerge and muted color, evoking nostalgia, place, and quiet movement. Capturing both Astoria's character and the mood of the moment, inviting the viewer into a timeless Pacific Northwest scene.

Welcome to my Instagram where imagination and nature intertwine! I'm happy you stopped by. Enjoy my journey as I photograph around the Pacific Northwest as well as my garden and transform through layered textures and painterly treatments applied in post-processing. The result is a soft, atmospheric piece that blends realism with an expressive, hand-painted aesthetic, capturing both place and mood through my artistic vision.

My work is inspired by the textures and colors of the Pacific Northwest mist-covered forests, wild coastlines, and the quiet poetry of moss and light.
