I’ve been wanting to paint our dearly missed greyhound, Sonic. Back then I wasn’t a photographer yet, and I didn’t have a good camera just a few old phone photos tucked away in my saved Google account.

This snowy little snapshot became something more. Turning it into a painting means I can finally print it, hang it on the wall, and keep his gentle presence close.

Based on a famous Oregon Lighthouse, Yaquina Head, I reimagined the image by compositing three other photos I captured on the Oregon Coast.

I then enhanced the image with my signature artistic style, this one-of-a-kind piece captures the moody beauty and texture of the Pacific Northwest coast.

Looking through my hard drive of all my saved photos images I found a photograph I captured of the Astoria historic trolley I took several years ago.

This is purely my imagination as I see the mist emerge and muted color, evoking nostalgia, place, and quiet movement. Capturing both Astoria's character and the mood of the moment, inviting the viewer into a timeless Pacific Northwest scene.

How I find my inspiration? Let's take a walk together in the forest to see what we find. Look down and under pine needles, lift some leaves. 🍂 It's a great way to get fresh air and relax.
