Caught a whale taking a breath while shooting for Lums today!

We were shooting at the Hammond marina, and while I walked up to this gorgeous Land Cruiser to get another angle, I saw a gray whale blow out air on the other side of the SUV. I wanted to see if I could focus on the truck and capture the whale the next time it surfaced. So I ran to get into position, estimated a range where it would be in the water and got down low enough for a good angle, but high enough to still get the whale if it came up.

Then it surfaced right next to the passenger side! I'm absolutely thrilled!

We get it… everyone calls this one “sexy.”

Chicken Madeira has a pan seared breast, sauteed mushrooms and a rich cream sauce poured hot over the breast, fresh sauteed vegetables and our delicious mashed potatoes.
