Beautiful Snowmass Village with Daly filled in quite nicely. The fresh snow from last night filled the valley and I think I can speak for everyone, we are ready for more! This morning didn’t turn out as planned. I ended up waiting almost 3 hours for the low clouds to clear. As always it was worth the wait

8/17/26 woke up at the butt crack of dawn hoping for a another amazing Italian sunrise. Though the light never popped the landscape itself did all the talking. Had an amazing morning exploring Passo Giau. Scrambled up some ferrata’s to Refugio Nuvolau (built in 1883). We got a cappuccino and took in the incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

After a hectic summer traveling around the world, I think it’s time to start sharing some of my favorite moments. Back in August a place that seemed to be a must in Italy was our first stop. The first 2 nights of sleep were spent in an overnight flight and a rental car that fit the common theme of European vehicles, compact. Catching first light at Cadini di Misurina would temporarily cure the jet lag from a 7-hour time difference. The bar was set and my first time in Italy was off to a great start

It’s been a crazy couple months out of the country leading up to my favorite time of the year in Colorado. After finally returning home catching a cold was very much a bummer and held me back from a time I am usually outside more than inside. Luckily I am so fortunate to have a place like this so accessible. Was able to make it to one of my favorite spots in the valley to catch some alpenglow illuminating the recent snow that dusted the high peaks of the Elks. This one was especially short and sweet for me. Another reminder of how grateful I am to call this place home

Sunrise paintbrush (1) or sunset paintbrush (2)?

A lack of water carrying over from the winter has really taken its toll in Colorado. Drought and wildfires have swept the state. It’s amazing how resilient nature is. Still able to show signs of beauty to remind us how amazing Colorado is

Made it down to a Colorado classic early this year. Just in time for the ice to melt and reveal one of the most vibrant blue lakes in the state. A real example of colorful Colorado. Was a great start to a great week in the San Juans
