Lets talk about SOPHIE & CHRIS for a sec, shall we 🤩

They are getting married in Northern Utah in a few months but did not want their engagements in the snow so I got the privilege of photographing them in the warmth (relative 😂) of Southern Utah and holy smokes did these two blow me away. They took the direction and guidance I gave and absolutely ran with it. I loved getting to know them and loved how these photos turned out!

Some key notes to take if you’re planning to do a pre-wedding shoot in your wedding attire (these shoots are usually called Bridals or Formals):

1) If you are wanting to print or use any of the images for your wedding day, make sure to schedule this session well in advance from your big day. Check with your photographer how much time they typically need to turnaround your photos and make sure to plan accordingly! This is a common mistake I see in the industry when it comes to formals.

2) On the same note of planning it far enough ahead of time, make sure to take into account professional dress cleaning if you want it to be cleaned and fresh for the big day.

3) If you’re wanting a bouquet for your formals, you may have to pay for two separate bouquets so check with your florist and plan for that accordingly into your floral budget if you’re wanting to do a formal shoot.

4) WATCH TANLINES. This goes for any shoot and your wedding day to!! If you have a big tanline from your favorite smart or fitness watch, try finding a foundation that matches your skin to blend over the tanline if you don’t want it popping out at you in photos.

I took the last two weeks completely off of work with my husband and it has been such a nice refresh. Now I’m feeling so rejuvenated and excited for the start to 2024.

I can feel it’s gonna been a great year gaining traction in a new city and I can’t wait to meet amazing new couples.
