feeling awkward, stressed, or unsure going into a photoshoot? you shouldn’t have to.

most people don’t step in front of a camera every day- it’s completely normal to feel that way. but with the right guidance and a thoughtful process, it doesn’t have to be.

with me, it won’t be.

the moment we start planning, i guide you through every step: location, timing, what to wear, and how to prepare ahead of time so you feel confident and ready before we even begin. during your session, i create a relaxed, natural environment where you don’t have to wonder what to do.

i’ll lead you with ease and intention the entire time.

behind the scenes, i go through hundreds of images and thoughtfully refine the very best into a polished, cohesive gallery that truly reflects you. it’s a process i’m incredibly intentional about, and one of my favorite parts of what i do.

every session is customized to you, and you’ll receive a prep guide ahead of time with wardrobe recs so you can walk in feeling calm, confident, and fully prepared.

spending the morning photographing altitude animal aid felt less like a typical shoot and more like stepping into a story.

for just over a year, altitude animal aid has been serving our community through mobile veterinary care, and the impact they’ve made on the well-being of our dogs, and so many other families’ beloved pets is undeniable.

having them come to us for in-home visits truly has been a game changer. the dogs are calmer, the environment is familiar, and every appointment feels intentional and unrushed.

as i captured images of their team at work, what stood out most was the way they care… not just for the pets, but for the people who love them. they take time to explain options, answer questions, and make sure families feel confident and supported in the decisions they’re making.

the shoot took place at their mountain home in the canyon, surrounded by their six dogs, a lively flock of chickens, and even a few curious wild deer passing through. it was one of those settings that immediately tells you who someone is. the love, the patience, the compassion… it’s woven into their daily life, not just their business.

grateful to document a team that is doing such meaningful work for our community - and grateful for a few very adorable pups who made the perfect models.

One year ago today, Altitude Animal Aid officially hit the road — and we’re honestly feeling all the emotions.

This started as a simple dream: make vet visits easier for our own senior pet. We figured we’d mostly support family and friends… but once we started talking about it, so many of you said, “Wait… I would LOVE a vet who comes to my house.” And just like that, the dream got a whole lot bigger.

To our mountain community (and everyone “just down the hill” too) thank you for trusting us with your pets. Thanks for letting us show up in your living rooms, kitchens, barns, backyards, and snowy driveways. You’ve let us be part of the good days and the tough days, and we’re genuinely grateful.

Also—big milestone: Brien quit his day job in October to do Altitude Animal Aid full-time. That was a huge leap for our little family business, and your support made it possible. Every referral, review, share, and “hey, you should call them” has mattered more than you know.

We’ve learned a TON this first year, and we’re really grateful for every client who gave us a chance. Our goal is simple: keep showing up, keep improving, and be a steady, reliable resource for this community and your pets.

From wellness visits and vaccines to senior care, hospice support, and everything in between — thanks for letting us be part of your pet’s story!

I took a few weeks off from shoots this holiday season to be very intentional about where I put my time and energy. Instead of staying behind the camera nonstop, I chose to slow down and be fully present with our family, close friends, nonprofit work close to my heart, and a few holiday pop-up events that turned out to be incredibly meaningful.

Those experiences reminded me why I do what I do. I met wonderful people, strengthened relationships, and helped raise money for several great causes. Stepping into community-focused work and live events sparked creativity in a different way and reinforced how powerful connection and storytelling can be when they’re done with purpose.

Taking that pause has me feeling inspired, focused, and excited about the projects ahead. I’m heading into the new year with fresh perspective, renewed energy, and a deep appreciation for the balance between meaningful work and meaningful life.

As I ease back into shoots and projects, I’m looking forward to connecting with clients, brands, and creatives who value intentional storytelling and meaningful collaboration. If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
