Ok, I might be a LIIIIITTLE biased, but, I mean, c'mon, LOOK AT HER!!! I love my little sweetheart so much!

I've gotten a lot of questions about what the heck a sitter session is because it's listed in my session offerings on my website. This 6 month session that I did with my daughter is a perfect example of a sitter session! The purpose of sitter sessions is to celebrate the first major milestone in your baby's life: when they can sit on their own, unassisted! My daughter was a little ahead of the curve, sitting at 6 months, but this milestone typically occurs somewhere between 6-9 months, sometimes later!

I offer sitter sessions on their own or bundled with other sessions like newborn and first birthday/smash cake. If you missed your window for newborn photos, a sitter session is a great opportunity to still get some precious images of them while they're still super little!

I'm finally able to share these! Busy season has been crazy and editing these images of my daughter have just been put on the backbones so I can get all my clients galleries delivered on time!

Rayna turned 6 months in October and we are just so in love with our little sweetie. She's the most good natured, happy little baby and is just all smiles all the time. She's crawling like a pro and is pulling herself up to stand. Not taking any steps yet, but we suspect she will soon!

She loves her big brother (can you tell?), bananas and sweet potatoes, her unicorn plushie, glasses, and remotes. We are still going strong with breastfeeding and She's hitting all her milestones. We couldn't be more proud. 🥰

Thinking of having newborn photos done, but unsure of when is the right time to book? My advice is always this: you should start thinking about newborn and maternity photos as soon as you find out that you are pregnant! The main reason I suggest this is because as you progress along in your pregnancy, it will start to get very busy with prenatal appointments, preparing your home for the baby, your baby shower, and you'll get more and more tired the further into your third trimester that you get which can make it easy for something like booking a photographer to slip your mind! Trust me, you don't want to wait until you're ready to take your photos or your baby has arrived to start looking for a photographer! Not only will most photographers likely be booked up with such short notice, but that's a lot of money to pay all at once!

The longer you give yourself, the more likely you are to be able to book the specific photographer you desire, you'll have more time to pay for your session and whatever image package you choose, and it'll be one less thing to think about as you're about to welcome your little one earth side. 😊

The golden hour. 🌄

This lighting is a photographer's dream 😍 it creates such a warm, dreamy atmosphere for your photos.

The thing about golden hour is this: the best lighting is only available for about 30 minutes starting about an hour before the sun completely sets. Once the sun has gone below the horizon, you enter into the blue hour (which is equally as magical in its own right, just a completely different vibe!).

When you schedule your session during golden hour it is absolutely imperative that you arrive on time and ready to go so we can capture this magical lighting in your session. Typically, for golden hour sessions, I like to aim to start about 30 minutes before peak so that once that sun is in the perfect spot, just above the horizon, everyone is comfortable and having fun and we can get you some jaw dropping images like these!

A collection of just some of my favorite images that I've taken within my first year in business! This was so difficult to squeeze all into 10 slides! I have so many that I just love of my clients. It's really been a joy working with each and every one of you and I can't wait to meet so many more amazing people in 2024!

It's also awesome to see the growth I've made in 12 short months as a photographer. My editing style is really starting to come through and develop into what I want it to be.
