But when we blink, our babies have gone from infants to tweens or high school seniors! Don't let the years go by unrecorded! My interest and involvement in photography is always evolving. In the past I loved photographing landscapes and architecture while traveling, and took on the occasional engagement, senior portrait or family picture session for friends and family. Since having my two girls, I have come to love photographing babies, children, and families. And working with individuals for their headshots or bo***ir sessions allows for a lot of creativity and personalization of sessions, so I love those as well. I love being challenged by new scenarios and am always excited to try new ideas.

Soaking up the last of the summer sun🌞

This moment at Ansley's senior picture session this summer was something to be grateful for.

We started out the session trying to dodge some raindrops and withstanding some wind. Typical Colorado weather for a summer afternoon.

But just as she changed into this stunning outfit, the sun came out.

The warm light radiated off of her orange dress and the evening sun gave us that backlit hair light that we had been dreaming about for her senior photos✨

Also, I had been in search of tall grass at her request, and we happened to get to the perfect location for this right when the sun came out.

I wanted to make these images playful, so we did lots of running, skipping and runway-walking. So fun!

When you're looking to capture not only a momentous stage in life but also everything leading up to it and what will come after, a special location is in order.

The Maroon Bells are not only an iconic Colorado backdrop, but also a place our family has been going to for at least a decade.

It is a place where you feel dwarfed by the incredible nature and beauty around you but also inspired.

Inspired to try new things.

Inspired to go on new adventures.

Inspired to do the scary things and grow from them.

Inspired to notice everything around you and think about your place in the world.

Inspired to start a new chapter.

For all of these reasons it seemed fitting to capture senior pictures here. For these things are what I strive for when capturing each person's images: trying the story of who they have grown into as a young adult and unique individual and instilling confidence through the experience so they can go out into the world and shine.

The White River National Forest and the road along maroon creek did not disappoint!

We took senior photos in sun drenched aspen groves, vast green meadows with alpine wildflowers, and alongside icy, snow-melt rivers and lakes.

And rewatching the behind-the-scenes footage I am reliving these amazing moments with a beautiful, strong, intelligent, captivating and independent young lady✨

It was all blue skies and butterflies for Lexi's senior photo session in Boulder, Colorado. That has been the exception this year, as we've had so many afternoon storms.

I can't get over the glowy light and how it was so amazing with her light hair and gorgeous Altar'd State state dress. It was pretty perfect with her yellow top and white skirt as well ✨

I can't wait for her gallery reveal!

When Jack said he wanted to do his senior photoshoot at Union station in downtown Denver, I was all in ✨

I love the architecture of the modern meets historical style. The station on the tracks created. Very cool backgrounds and different looks for Jack.

And how lucky we were that a train pulled in right as he was posing ✨
