A 76-year-old athlete has completed a challenging marathon and received a standing ovation from the crowd. The marathon took place in the city of Salta, located in the northwest region of Argentina. Enedina Modesta Perez, successfully completed the marathon after running for more than 5 hours. She received cheers and applause from the audience as she crossed the finish line. Her impressive feat serves as an inspiration to people of all ages and demonstrates that determination and hard work can help anyone achieve their goals, regardless of their age.

Starry, starry night... Star trails above the domes in Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite. I took this image this Spring during the new moon; beautiful inky-black skies with a brilliant display of stars. John Muir called the Sierras "The range of light." This seems especially true on clear moonless nights!

Two images blended: The foreground picture was taken during the golden hour, and the star trails a composite image at about 11 pm. Some modest exposure as well as dodge and burn adjustments in PS. I processed the final image through DxO Raw2 for denoising and sharpening.

There is nothing quite like stepping back to the far edge of El Cap Meadow and looking up to take in the whole of El Capitan: The monolithic size, the color, texture, and details of the granite. The early morning glow creeps across the face, and the stillness of the shadows envelops the recesses until dawn's light reveals it all: Simply magical... I camped in the Alabama hills below Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states, on the Eastern horizon. It was during the new moon of June; the night was inky black with stars filling the sky.

Two images blended: The foreground picture was taken during the golden hour, and the star trails a composite image at about 1 am. Some modest exposure as well as dodge and burn adjustments in PS. I processed the final image through DxO Raw2 for denoising and sharpening.

Moon rising over the White Mountains.
This is a re-edit and cropping of an image I posted a month ago. I like this one much more than the original; I thought I would share it. Enjoy!

While sea turtles 🐒 are one of the most ancient creatures living around us, six of the seven species of sea turtles 🐒 are termed as threatened or endangered because of the devastating impact of human hunting, pollution, and climate change…

This Summer, I spent a few days on the Atlantic Coast of Florida, Flagler beach area. Each morning, I watched a pair of Ospreys hunt the surf line for breakfast.
