🎈CHAPTER 39: Don’t Grow Old. GROW UP!
Looking at these two pictures reminds me that getting older and growing up are two very different things!
38 was a challenging year. A year of lessons, reflection, uncomfortable truths, new opportunities, and growth. Some lessons came through great experiences, while others came through disappointments. But I’ve learned that both have a place in shaping who we become.
One of my biggest lessons this year has been that even with the best intentions, people will let you down. And the truth is, I’ve let people down too. We can’t control the decisions others make or the paths they choose, but we can take responsibility for our own actions, our growth, and the path we walk.
This year has also challenged me spiritually, reminding me to be more intentional about my relationship with God, the people I surround myself with, and the decisions I make. I’ve learned that recognizing where we need to grow is only the beginning. Real growth requires surrender, not just good intentions.
Through it all, there have been new beginnings, exciting opportunities, memories made, plenty of laughter, and so much to be grateful for.
As I step into 39, I certainly don’t have everything figured out. But I’m committed to continuing to learn, love, laugh, strengthen my faith, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy this life God has given me.
That little boy had no idea what life had in store for him, and at 39, I still don’t know what’s ahead. But I’m grateful for the journey, the people who’ve been part of it, and the God who has been faithful through it all.
Here’s to 39! Still learning. Still growing.
Don’t Grow Old. GROW UP! 🚀
