Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to trade with some absolutely amazing artists, and honestly… I LOVE it. 🥹

There’s something so special about artists trading their work with each other. I genuinely love every part of it.

And maybe this is silly, but I still get a little giddy when another artist offers to trade with me. 😂 There’s something about another creative looking at what I do and thinking, “Yeah, I’d trade my work for yours.” It makes me feel really good about myself and what I’ve created.

As artists, I think we can be so hard on ourselves sometimes. We’re constantly looking at what we could improve, what we wish was better, what someone else is doing that we want to achieve… that it’s really nice to have another artist say, “I value your work.”

So, yes. I’m a BIG fan of artist trades. 🖤

I actually got to finish out a trade today, and I’m kind of ridiculously stoked about it. 😂

So if you’re an artist, maker, creative, or another small business and you’ve ever thought about trading services/work… your girl is always down. My ears are open. 👀✨

✨ WOW! My inbox was BLOWN UP while I was on vacation! 😅💛

I’m officially home and slowly working my way through all of your messages, inquiries, and questions. I promise I am getting to EVERYONE as soon as I possibly can! 🐝

One of my favorite parts of vacation will always be being on the water. 🌊☀️ There’s just something about being surrounded by the Great Lakes, soaking up the sunshine, and slowing down for a little while that I absolutely love. 💛

Now it’s time to get back into the swing of things and tackle this VERY full inbox! 😂

I don’t think you truly realize how important it is to surround yourself with like-minded people until you become a small business owner.

There’s something so special about connecting with other small business owners who get it. People who understand the late nights, the big dreams, the uncertainty, the excitement, and the constant push to keep growing.

And more often than not, those people genuinely want to work with you. They want to see you succeed. They want to share your work, recommend you, collaborate with you, and help you find opportunities, because they understand that someone else’s success doesn’t take away from their own.

That’s what I love about small business.

It’s not supposed to be about competition. It’s about community.

I have yet to meet a small business owner whose heart wasn’t somewhere in the same place: loving what they do so much that they genuinely want to help others succeed, too.

So if you’re a small business owner, find your people. Build those connections. Support one another. Celebrate each other.

There is room for all of us to thrive. 🐝✨

✨ A little update + a few reminders! ✨

First, I owe you all an apology! I thought I had made a post this morning letting everyone know I’d be out and about all day, but apparently that post only happened in my head. 😂 So, I’m sorry for the quiet today!

Today has been a BUSY one, I had a session this morning that rolled into an appointment, followed by another session this afternoon. And this one was a magazine session, which you all know are some of my absolute favorites! 🐝✨ I’m just wrapping everything up at the studio and calling it a night.

Once I get home, I’m going to take a little time to respond to messages and get back to people as I can. Then I’m officially shutting my brain off for the evening. 😂

📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL MINIS ARE TOMORROW!
I still have a few openings available, so if you’ve been thinking about grabbing one, now is the time! These are such a fun way to capture this little milestone before the school year gets rolling.
