National Park Summer (part 4)

Our last hike in Banff 😢 This one was different than the last two with a beautiful waterfall to kick off the hike! This hike was probably the most crowded hike we did which means it goes down on list of top hikes.
The first 2 miles or so were paved = LOTS of humans!
Once we got past the falls and into the woods, it was less busy. The hike felt longggg since the majority was in an evergreen forest (great for a hot day) and didn’t have good views during the hardest parts of the hike. 😝

The middle part of the hike at the ink pots was really pretty with a panoramic view of the mountains and crystal clear water.
I just am amazed at the vast mountain ranges there & how it honestly humbles me!

From this hike we headed to Glacier National park in our trusty rental car 🚙

National Park Summer (part 3) 6/28/23

This was our first hike of the trip and it was a GOOD one! This lake is 30 min further into the park from Lake Louise & I found it to be so beautiful and peaceful. It felt more untouched and was far less crowded than Lake Louise. The weather was sublime with highs in the 70s 🤩

Our favorite thing to do after a long day of hiking in Banff was to grab coffee or dinner in this cutie town called Canmore right outside Banff National Park.

We got an early start because parking is in high demand & you need to make a reservation several days before OR get there crazy early. 😜

It was so lovely to start the hike early before the sun got too hot. I loved this hike because of the diversity of scenery & beauty around! Starting off in the woods beside the beautiful lake Louise and hiking up through rocky parts and then a forest.

It was the right amount of challenging but enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was reaching a cute tea house at the top and enjoying tea & scones. The tea house staff hike up for five days at a time and have little to no cell service which just sounds exciting!!

It’s fun to meet people along the way & commiserate and celebrate together! There’s something refreshing about working your body and giving your mind a moment to just think and be still & take in the surroundings.
