If Jay Gatsby himself had planned a wedding in Altoona, it might have looked a lot like Danae and Josh’s incredible celebration at The Columns Banquet Center.
From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by gorgeous Great Gatsby inspired details. Pearls, gold accents, feathers, and elegant décor transformed the venue into a glamorous scene straight out of the Roaring Twenties. Every corner was filled with beautiful details that were a dream to photograph.
One of my favorite surprises was the wedding cake. Danae shared that the groom’s mother created it herself, and I could hardly believe it. It was absolutely stunning and looked like it belonged in a luxury wedding magazine.
Danae and Josh created a wedding day that was stylish, memorable, and filled with personality. It was such a pleasure to capture every moment of their amazing celebration.

One of the most unforgettable weddings I have ever photographed…
The weather truly tested us that day. We had rain, strong winds, and so much fog that in some photos the background completely disappeared into white. Most people would probably think that sounds like a photographer’s nightmare, but honestly, it was incredible.
The fog created such a unique and magical atmosphere that you simply cannot plan for. Not every couple gets to experience a wedding day like this, and not every couple would embrace it the way these two did.
Instead of letting the weather ruin their day, they laughed, enjoyed every moment, danced in the rain, and fully embraced the adventure. Their positive attitude made all the difference. As a wedding photographer, one of my biggest goals is to create a stress free photography experience, and together we turned what could have been a challenge into something truly unforgettable.
The result? Beautiful, emotional, one of a kind images that tell the story of their day exactly as it happened.
I am so honored that I was trusted to capture these memories, and even more grateful that the couple absolutely loved their gallery when they received it.
Rain, wind, fog, and all, this wedding was pure magic.

This couples session was so cool! As you know, I offer both mini sessions and standard sessions, and this time we did a full standard session for an hour and a half. We were not rushing at all, which gave us so much time to be creative, visit multiple locations, and try so many different ideas.
We even used their car and created some really cool shots with it before heading to the pond and the grass field. We captured a mix of romantic moments and fun, playful photos, and honestly I absolutely loved this session from start to finish. These are the kind of sessions that let creativity flow naturally and create such beautiful memories 🤍

Happy to share the first wedding of my 2026 season. It was such a beautiful and intimate day surrounded by close family and so many warm moments.
The morning started with rain, so the ceremony was moved indoors, but everything turned out perfectly and ended with the prettiest weather for photos.
The ceremony was short and heartfelt, which gave us plenty of time to capture beautiful portraits afterward. The newlyweds were truly the sweetest people. You could tell this whole experience felt very new to them, and there was something so genuine and sweet about the quiet, shy way they looked at each other throughout the day. The love between them felt so natural and heartfelt, and you could truly see it in their eyes during every moment together.
We had a chance to capture some sweet family photos of the bride, groom, and their little boy, and I truly feel like these are the memories couples will be so thankful to have later. Having those moments documented during your wedding day is so special and meaningful.
Such a beautiful way to start the wedding season💫

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there, and honestly, Happy Mother’s Day to myself too. Being a mom is one of the most beautiful things in life, but also one of the hardest. It takes so much patience, strength, love, and sacrifice every single day. There are so many happy moments, so many memories, and also so many challenges that make us stronger.
Today I’m sharing this beautiful family with you because moments like these are such a reminder of how special motherhood truly is. The love, the connection, the little moments that become the biggest memories someday.

This engagement session was so sweet to photograph. We chose a beautiful location that perfectly matched their vision, and everything came together so naturally. I already cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year.
This is why I always recommend doing an engagement session. It gives you the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, understand my approach, and truly enjoy the experience before your wedding day.
The weather was cloudy, windy, and a little chilly, but it created such a romantic atmosphere. We leaned into a more elegant style while still capturing movement, genuine moments, and a mix of both fun and cozy interactions. Everything felt effortless and authentic, and the final images reflect that so beautifully.

Hi guys! I wanted to jump on here and talk about minis for this year.

As you know, I only offer mini sessions once a year. They are 20 minutes long and priced as a really great deal. Last year they were so popular that I even had to open a second day.

Last year I hosted them in the fall, but this year I will not be able to do fall minis because my wedding season is much busier. So I decided to move them to July.

I do not have the exact date yet, but it will be a weekend, most likely early July. I am currently thinking around July 11 or 12.

These sessions are perfect for couples, families, portraits, maternity, or even engagement photos if you do not want a full session. It is a quick, fun shoot and you will receive 20 beautiful edited photos. The price will be $150.
