I know love is hard sometimes, and that some days are work and not easy…but I still believe in it. I believe deeply in romance and love stories…even though I haven’t found mine yet. It still makes me happy to capture the magic of couples and I still get excited as the years pass by and my couples share their 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 10th and now even 12th and 15th wedding anniversary! It’s an honor to capture these love stories and it gives me hope that someday I might have my own.

Last weekend on Peaks Island, the day began wrapped in a blanket of fog. As if on cue, the sun broke through just in time for portraits and the ceremony. Then the fog quietly rolled back in, giving the evening its own kind of magic.

The weather changed all day, but one thing never did, the love. Surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and the kind of moments that remind you what weddings are really about, it was such a joy to witness and photograph.

It’s taken me many years to realize that it’s not about the edits, the presets, or the way an image is toned and colored.

For me, it has always been about the feeling behind the photograph.

That feeling might be joyful, playful, romantic, or even a little dramatic. Whatever it is, emotion is what makes an image come alive. It’s what turns a photograph into a story.

My editing style has changed over the years, and it still shifts depending on the light and the moment. But one thing has never changed: my approach to the people in front of my camera.

My goal has always been to help people relax, have fun, and feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Because when people feel seen and at ease, their true beauty shines through.

And when someone looks back at those images years later and feels something happiness, love, nostalgia, connection that’s when I know I’ve done my job.
